Interdisciplinary Thoracic Oncology, Department of Surgery

The Department of Interdisciplinary Thoracic Oncology provides outstanding facilities for the diagnostics and treatment of patients with thoracic malignancies in an interdisciplinary concept, including Radiology, Pathology/Molecular Biology, Radiotherapy and Thoracic Surgery. Our clinical trial unit is very successfully involved in the performance of pivotal international clinical trials and is actually performing more then 10 international clinical trials for lung cancer and mesothelioma.

Prof. Dr. Christian Manegold - Head of Section Interdisciplinary Thoracic Oncology, Medical Oncologist. He coordinated the ESMO Guidelines Working Group on Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma (2007).
